Primer: Who is ConnorEatsPants & What is Fortnite Friday?

Who is ConnorEatsPants & What is Fortnite Friday?

UPDATE OCTOBER 3, 2025: to learn about California Governor Gavin Newsom’s guest appearance on #FortniteFriday, read our recap.

You might hear a lot today about how gamer and streamer ConnorEatsPants interviewed Adrian Dittman on his weekly livestream Fortnite Friday. Many believe Dittman to be an alias of a very, very rich and prominent man, but it is still a theory.

Disclaimer: There is no confirmation to my knowledge that Adrian Dittman is a sock puppet account for anyone. Voice analysts and screenshots aren’t enough at this time. We’re bringing this event to your attention to show how streamers merge current events/politics/social issues with their gaming content, and how that can lead to meaningful dialogues with our family.

Do your kids watch ConnorEatsPants? He’s collaborated with famous streamers like Dream, so it’s likely he’ll show up in a gamer’s algorithm. Here’s the background you’ll need to talk to your kids about it:

Primer: ConnorEatsPants‘ Interview w/ Adrian Dittman

  • ConnorEatsPants has been making videos and streaming since he was a teenager, often changing the name of his channel and taking breaks as needed.
  • This channel is where he invites celebrities to play #FortniteFriday while he casually asks questions. He often probes his guests on topics he doesn’t think the guest is answering directly.
  • Without a deep dive into Connor’s past videos, we can’t fully endorse him — yet. However, viewing clips from his more controversial guests like George Santos, combing through his more casual interviews, viewer comments on YouTube, Twitch, and his Sub-Reddit, he might be a good gamer to suggest to your older kids. More to come in Reviews.
  • Connor never claims to be a journalist, nor is he trying to be. There is some social commentary to be made on how he interplayed his interview questions and follow-ups with the gameplay, but that will take multiple viewings to unlock.

By the Numbers

Connor gained 5,358 Twitch followers in the hours he streamed on January 3rd. Average viewership was 17,991 while viewers peaked at 21,602, according to TwitchTracker. His most popular video before yesterday was a charity livestream with Dream and other popular streamers.

Why Does This Matter to My Family?

Parents/Caregivers, I encourage you to ask if your child watches ConnorEatsPants, or has every watched/heard of Fortnite Friday. Certainly Connor does some of these interviews for humor, but it’s clear that many of his questions to guests are genuine, and may surprise you. You can gain insight into not only what your children might be watching and how gamers often circulate their views during streams, but some of Connor’s questions could align with your child’s.

#FortniteFriday could be a gateway for you to learn how to talk to your own kids about such topics, or watch some together and open up dialogues. His content is PG13 at minimum, so I would start with pre-reviewed clips.

Parents, myself included, can easily slide into a tone of voice that sounds predestined. We might know that this discussion will end with them turning off their video game, for instance, but don’t begin the conversation that way. It can feel and be a two-way dialogue so they feel like they can open up to you. There are elements of how Connor asks his questions that could enlighten grown ups, and show us ways of communicating with our children in language they understand.

What are your questions about this? Have you ever heard of Connor’s streams?
