Many talented people are helping me build practical, dialogue-based resources for families to practice digital literacy — together. Whether part of the initial launch or joining on one of our many adventures, I can’t thank them enough.

Cindy Marie Jenkins | Creative Producer
I have written at the intersection of parenting, tech, and pop culture for over ten years, and entertainment journalism over twenty.
Bringing the creative experience and edutainment directly to families has always been my passion. I produced and programmed multiple esteemed educational programs in Los Angeles, including: Artistic Producer at Enrichment Works; Artistic Associate for the Antaeus Classical Academy & Manager of their Arts Education in Prisons Program; Center Theatre Group’s Speak to Me high school initiative; and taught students K-12 how to write and perform their own plays about the dangers of drunk driving for the Safe Movez DUI Theater Program.
In the late 2000s, I worked to bridge the widening gaps between local communities and their neighborhood and city councils, teaching multiple workshops with artists and entrepreneurs toward finding their own voice online. Groups such as the Directors Lab West and LA FPI (Los Angeles Female Playwrights’ Initiative) gave me opportunities to develop sustainable support systems and professional development for artists at many stages of life.
At True Run Media in Beijing, she produced and moderated panels for international K12 School Choice Conferences, and activated their inaugural outdoor Summer Camp Choice Festival. Cindy took the reins to edit the 2021-2022 Beijing School Choice Guide, curating over 100 pages of intricate international school profiles and quality accompanying educational articles.
After repatriating to the States, Cindy jumped on the chance to stay on WeChat be an Educational Counselor for international students through their college application journey at Elite Scholars of China, building curriculums to coach their writing, interest development, and understanding of foreign cultures.
Cindy is also now part of the Collaborative team at Creative Evolutions, a consulting firm laser focused on activating and distributing new and human-centered solutions. This summer they’re producing five intertwined events in five cities and two countries to generate working solutions for Arts, Universities, and their Communities. One of her next big challenges is to create a living sourcebook out of these gatherings.
Selected bylines include: Insider, Business Insider, The Mary Sue, StarTrek.com, The Beijinger, Jingkids Int’l/BeijingKids, VoxPopuli Winter Garden, Theatre Communications Guild, The Clyde Fitch Report, The Mom Forum, No Proscenium, Dwarf+Giant (a blog of The Last Bookstore), Time Out Beijing Family, Better Lemons, Theatre @ Boston Court and more.

Testimonials
Everything Cindy does is at an outstanding level. She consistently goes above and beyond on any project big or small and inspires everyone around her to do the same. As a leader, she is organized, goal-oriented, compassionate, and supportive. As a collaborator, she is creative, detail-oriented, and fun! She has the rare ability to not only see the highest potential in someone but the verbal and interpersonal skills to give thoughtful feedback and support that draws that potential out and helps it grow. She is a gifted writer, creative thinker, outstanding parent, and pillar of every community lucky enough to have her as a member.
— Julie Wolf, Director of International Education at First Five Learn and Play
Cindy is amazing. Let’s just start there. She’s a creative outside-box thinker who can gracefully perform pretty much any role. But I want to talk about what truly astounds me about her, what in my opinion sets her apart from most other people. And this is 2 things – her entrepreneurial spirit and her unwavering dedication to community. Cindy makes things happen, she makes connections happen, she gets the word out in ways you would never have thought of. She lives to bring the world and the people she knows closer together. She makes sure that we all know that the world is happening around us, and all we have to do to take part is join in. The world needs more people like her.
