Their question: “Why are we forced to learn the recorder in school?”
Sabrina’s answer: Watch me learn the why and how in a 20 minute supercut of one week.
Sabrina Cruz is one of my favorite people to ever join YouTube. I became aware of her work when she hosted Complexly’s Crash Course Kids (unfortunately not in progress anymore although I understand why that might be). Even after all that time, she still surprises me with her subjects, like the school recorder, and how fascinating I find Cruz’s journey to an answer (for now).
For the last few years, she’s collaborated with her friends Taha Khan and Melissa Fernandes on a channel called Answer in Progress, and you should 100% add it to your collection. I have used and recommended Khan’s intensive video “The History of the Algorithm” often as the best explanation of how outside trends, cheaters, and business decisions directly affect what we see in our feeds.
Add these learning advocates to your family’s algorithm who make nerding out fun and unleash incredible discussions.
